Morton pleased with funding for 7th District projects in 2009-11
capital construction budget

Olympia…Sen.
Bob Morton, R-Kettle Falls, said he is pleased that several
important projects in the 7th District are funded in the 2009-11
state construction budget. Projects include:
Ferry County
$70,000 for restoration of the historic sawmill near Malo
Okanogan County
$138,000 for Conners Lake Dam water control gantry
$46,000 for Forde Lake Dam spillway channel
$240,000 for Scotch Creek Wildlife Area forest and fish road
upgrade
$150,000 for Conconully Natural Areas facilities preservation
and access
Spokane County
$1 million for Airway Heights water treatment plant
The 7th District will also benefit from an
appropriation of $816,000 for health and safety renovations to
Department of Natural Resources facilities and $2.5 million
appropriated to the Department of Ecology for the Columbia Basin
groundwater management area hydrologic model.
