Delvin announces state matching funds for Pasco, Richland school
building projects

OLYMPIA…
Sen. Jerome Delvin, R-Richland, announced today that certain
school building projects slated for construction in Pasco and
Richland will be able to continue – thanks to a bill authorizing
$133 million in bond sales to finance matching state grants for
school construction projects.
“The state school construction account is running short because
so many school districts are asking for matching funds,” Delvin
said. “I’m pleased to announce that the projects in Richland and
Pasco will be able to go ahead as scheduled – on time and within
budget.”
House Bill 1113 passed the House of Representatives on Jan.
28 and the Senate today. The bill now goes to the governor to be
signed into law.
