their biennial reorganization meeting today, state Senate
Republicans re-elected
Sen. Dale Brandland, R-Whatcom
County, as caucus whip.
“I enjoy being part of the leadership team and I
am honored the members of my caucus selected me again for
this position,” Brandland said. “It’s been a pleasure to
serve in this capacity over the past two years, and I look
forward to doing so again for the next couple of sessions.”
As caucus whip, Brandland
will count votes on critical legislation and
act as a point of contact
for the location of members during floor sessions. He will
also take on a mentorship role helping new members to the
caucus with legislative processes.
This will be Brandland’s second term serving as caucus whip.
In 2005-06 he served as caucus vice chair.
