Olympia....Please see attached a letter I wrote to Rick Day, director of the state Gambling Commission, inquiring about the state’s most recent compact negotiations with the Nooksack Tribe and the unwillingness of the state to enhance the tribe’s funding for problem gambling despite the allowance of more gambling.

Also see attached the response from Mr. Day, essentially stating that while problem gambling funding enhancement will be discussed in future compact negotiations with the Nooksack Tribe, it will never be included in the compact because it never has been included before.
