OLYMPIA…Sen. Mike Carrell and Rep.
Gigi Talcott of the 28th District welcome community members to
share their concerns and thoughts about problems facing our state at a town
hall meeting.
Sat., Jan. 22, beginning at
10:00 a.m.
Clover Park Technical College
Automotive Trade Building #3
4500 Steilacoom Blvd. SW
Lakewood
“We sent a survey to 23,787 voters
a couple weeks ago asking for advice on the problems we’re facing. The
responses have been great,” said Talcott. “Now we’d like to look over the
results together.”
“There’s
no better way for legislators to learn about the needs of their districts
than to meet with their constituents directly. We believe this group setting
will offer everyone the opportunity to express their thoughts openly, with
feedback,” said Carrell. “Gigi and I look forward to this opportunity.”
The town hall meeting format will include participants going
over district questionnaire results and forming discussions on them in a
group setting.
A
representative from the Pierce County Human Services Department of Aging and
Long-Term Care will also have a table at the event to answer any questions
senior citizens and others might have.
The 28th
District includes DuPont, Fircrest, Lakewood, Steilacoom, Tillicum,
University Place, West Tacoma and Anderson, Day, Ketron, and McNeil islands.
