school superintendents and school directors visited
Olympia and met with Sen. Bob Morton, R-Kettle Falls,
Rep. Joel Kretz, R-Wauconda, and
Rep. Shelly Short, R-Addy, to discuss the need for
levy equalization, which is eliminated in the Basic
Education Finance Task Force recommendations embodied in
Senate Bill 5444 and
House Bill 1410. Both of these bills have been given
public hearings in their respective chambers.
